Top Swedish doctors from mythic hospital in Stockholm have officially confirmed the first Unicorn transalteration. In this groundbreaking operation lasting some twelve hours teams of doctors working in shifts removed both horn and accompanying mystical powers.

“Our first Transalteration surgery has been performed and the patient is now in a recovery stall located in the lower floor of the parking structure.” Announced Doctor Sven Svenjohnsonston “What we have here is a health, normal, adult horse”

A hospital social worker read a prepared letter the patient dictated before the surgery began. “All my life I’m been a horse on the inside. I never liked my horn, I never felt like a unicorn, I’ve never liked virgins I just want to run and be free, eat some oats, maybe even pull a cart. I just want to be the horse that’s in me.”

It remains to be seen if this success operation will open a floodgate of mythical animals seeking to change their life through surgical alteration. Rumor has it that there is a waiting list that includes a Pegasus, An Ettin and a Giant Crab that has a dream of becoming a world class rugby player.

Meanwhile demonstrators line the streets ranging from “Free To be Me” promoting what has been called a Radical Mystic Agenda to “We Don’t Believe” who claims mythical creatures don’t exist at all and should not be allowed to mix with regular animals and people. 

When asked, the spokesmen from “We Don’t Believe” Doug Magnum stated that he thought the very idea of mythical creatures to be a figment of imaginations and residual flashbacks from the sixties. He then went on to say that he “didn’t want his kids going to a outdoor school and riding on no ex-unicorn.”

The Government of Sweden has stated that they will not interfere with this medical procedure at this time, but will go over the entire process to make sure it is being conducted ethically and within the laws of Sweden.
